Preparations for ETSC 2024 are going according to plan
Preparations for ETSC 2024 are going according to plan
From 07.12. - 10.12.2023, the ETDSF and EHLTF boards met in Lisbon to consult with the LOC and the team managers and country representatives of the member countries of both organisations.
During the consultations between the boards and the LOC Portugal, the current status of preparations was discussed and close cooperation was agreed for the coming months. There will be regular online meetings for coordination and support between the representatives of both boards and the LOC.
On Saturday morning, the representatives of the LOC and the organising company O-Sports invited all team managers and country representatives to visit the sports facilities in Lisbon. Everyone was able to get an impression and ask questions.
Some venues have not yet been finalised.
On Saturday afternoon there was a meeting on the new Rules & Regulations as well as the two General Assemblies of the EHLTF and ETDSF. A new logo for the association was presented by the Executive Board at the EHLTF AGM and will be used with immediate effect.
It was an intensive day for everyone, characterised by many positive discussions. In the evening there was a joint dinner.
We can already say that it was a very successful and groundbreaking weekend for both organisations. We came closer together and the intensive preparatory work of the two boards was recognised.
Everyone agrees that the next European Championships will be a milestone for transplant sport and organ donation in Europe.
